This Privacy Policy applies to the BookCompare mobile application and related services operated by PaKo s.r.o. (“PaKo”, “we”, “us”, or the “Service Provider”).
BookCompare helps users compare books by genre, author, rating, mood, and other available metadata. Registration is not required to use the Application.
BookCompare does not collect, log, or store personal information when you download and use the Application. PaKo does not create a server-side user profile or maintain an account database for BookCompare users.
If the Application is used with an active internet connection, ordinary network communication may involve transient technical protocol information such as an ephemeral IP address to enable connectivity. PaKo does not retain this information for tracking or profiling.
BookCompare does not collect precise real-time information about the location of your mobile device.
Since BookCompare does not collect personal information through normal use, PaKo does not share such app data with third parties.
PaKo does not collect or store personal data generated through normal use of BookCompare on its servers. Therefore, there is no server-side personal app data retention period.
We do not maintain a server-side personal reading profile, private comparison history, or account record associated with normal use of the Application.
Because BookCompare does not create a user account or store personal app data on PaKo servers, there is generally no server-side personal app record for us to delete.
Any information stored locally on your device can be removed using the Application's available controls, your device storage controls, or by uninstalling the Application, depending on how local content is stored on your device.
If you voluntarily contact PaKo by email or another direct communication channel, that correspondence is separate from normal app use. You may request deletion of personal information contained in that correspondence, subject to any legal obligations that may require limited retention.
Since BookCompare does not collect personal information through normal use, no separate in-app opt-out from personal data collection is required. Uninstalling the Application removes the Application from your device.
The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or a higher minimum age where required by applicable law. PaKo does not knowingly solicit personal data from children through normal use of the Application.
Because BookCompare does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of exposure of such data from PaKo systems is reduced. However, no technical system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If a security incident affects personal information that you voluntarily provided to PaKo through a separate communication channel, we will address it and provide notifications where required by applicable law.
PaKo may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page together with an updated effective date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will follow those requirements.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of 11 September 2026.
Where you voluntarily provide information to PaKo outside normal app use and processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out before withdrawal.
